Hi Guys
A mate of mine has a mid-50's S1 ute sitting in his shed and he is thinking of selling it. I say mid 50's because he took the plate off and has mislaid and the paperwork is 'somewhere'. The vehicle is in overall good nick having been restored about 10 years ago but there are lots of fiddly bits of tidying required, the electrics are poor and it is not rego'd. An S3 motor was dropped in to replace the S1 otherwise drivetrain is original - none overdrive. I estimate it would need 4 new tyres, a steam clean + a week of work to get it through a rego.
Assuming he can find the bits of paper what can he expect to get for it? someone has offered $3000 - is this reasonable? Would buy it myself but with 2 MGs, a TR, 2 bikes and a 300TDi + wife to feed, it isn't going to happen.
Ta, Paul
