On in Hobart this weekend Fri 11th - Mon 14th. I'll be there for the 4 days soaking up all those wonderful old and new timber boats and all the other goodies. :twobeers:

My dad's on the ferry right now on his way down there for this. First time overseas for him...
Wonder if he can get his money changed onboard? :wasntme:

Went to this show a few years ago - and a great show it was with some beautiful craft and craftmanship on display.
Well worthwhile the visit.

Wish I was going!! I race Couta boats out of Sorrento with my old man. He and Mum are heading to the festival, but I'm stuck at boring work.
Take lots of pics for us.

My Dad flew out of Perth to check this out and see family on the east coast, l would have loved to go but got a 4x4 week away planned for the same time.
How often is it run I might make a trip of it next year never been to Tas before so it's a good excuse.

It's probably not as big as the Hobart event but the SA Wooden Boat Festival is on at Goolwa 26-27 February.

I've never managed to be down there for the festival, but last trip spent a few hours looking through the wooden boat builders on the Huon where they are still training apprentices in the craft.
Fascinating to see, and great that these skills are still being passed on.
