Don't think so. The chassis on the D2 is somewhat longer so I'm guessing the holes won't line up.
I would imagine that there is not a great market for D2 ones from the wreckers as they came standard. Might be worth a few calls. Would be a lot less trouble to fit and your insurance will not be void:)

I would imagine that there is not a great market for D2 ones from the wreckers as they came standard. Not all D2s had them as standard & HR sold one for those made without one in the early 00's.

HR also made a heavy duty version to replace the genuine towbar.

I think you will also find the D1 bar has the low D1 ball weight as well.

I never thought of that thanks Garry

The D2 uses larger bolts all round. The holes would be a close fit between the two, but I don't think it would be good practice to open them up to suit.

They don't fit the other way as well - D2 towbar into a Series 1 Disco

My D1 tow BAR was rated at 4T,,

I wonder what the D1 towball weight limit was,,

Thanks Pedro, but if the bars are rated to 4t why is the vehicle only rated to 3500t. Weird I think!!

I just checked the data plate on the D1 HR bar that I have in my garage - rated to 4000kg but ball weight is only 120kg.

The rating is because of the towball,,

In Aus we appear to have settled on 50mm ball with a limit of 3500kg.

One of my towbars is rated to 4000kg with 120 kg ball weight.
