Hey guys I have a 97 Deefer 110 ute Space Cab which i just picked up a couple of weeks ago its currently at the mechanics getting fixed.
The problem that i am having is that some NUBE did the space cab conversion kit and the doors don't line up properly. Just wondering if anyone new of the goto guy for this sort of thing ??
I am located SE Melb
cheers

 Hi Steve
I should be the last one to ask for pictures, as I haven't been able to rise off my sorry *$$ to post any myself ! :(
But have you already posted pictures of the problem/Landy yet, so we can see what is wrong?
Cheers Arthur

First thing I'd be doing is open a door & lift it up & down as its probable the hinges are loose & the doors dropped.

Seriously - they come like this from the factory :p

How bad are we talking? If the hinges are looked at per DeeJay's suggestion (most likely issue) then sometimes the door catches have not been aligned properly. I have an extra-cab 130 and it took ages to get them aligned. If they are high or low, they push the door up or down when you close it.

I was expecting something much worse!!

Looks like the door catches need to be set further inboard. You can do this yourself if you have a Torx wrench set of sockets.

The passenger door looks like it is out at the top and out at the bottom, so some slight bending will have to take place.

BTW, if the plastic "ring" in the door catch is broken (where to door lever makes contact with the catch) then just buy 2 new ones. They are about $10 each on eBay: Door striker for Land Rover Defender (eBay item 120679721422 end time 04-Mar-11 21:45:50 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Door-striker-Land-Rover-Defender-/120679721422?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c191269ce) (you can see the white plastic bit that breaks in this photo).
