Just wondering if anyone has some advice as to where the best place to get good quality swivel housing seals.
The last set i got only last about 5 years. I was hoping for a bit more life than that!

Russ it seems where ever you buy them they are mostly the same brand.
I have bought some from All 4 X Four, Land Vehicle Spares and CLR and each time they were the same make.
The best you can do is hope for NOS, although they are likely hard by now and may not last either.
One thing I would ask, is if you set up the swivel correctly? You need to have the seal seating evenly over the whole of the ball and on one of my FC I had to set up the shims up with none in the bottom and all the shimming on the top otherwise there was a gap between the ball and the seal at the bottom.
The other important aspect was that you put a sealing compound behind the seal and the housing/retainer plate, as many apparent failures are actually oil bypassing behind the seal.

If you got five years out of them, it is unlikely that the seals were poor quality. As Diana says, ensure they are sealed, but also, keeping the swivels correctly set will help them last - any free play on the swivel allows the seal to move away from the ball, allowing dirt in, which will rapidly destroy the seal.
