Well after the both front and rear diff centres replaced, the Hand Brake acuator replaced, the car is back into the Dealership for some more repairs.
I just said here are the things wrong, just fix them !!! Pleeeease.
(1) Auto Shudder (Yes a full service)
(2) Engine surging under power 100rpm
(3) SRS issue
(4) Steering wheel cruise control buttons rqr replacing
Hmmm, wonder how much to fix this time round.
The last bill was $4,500.00 for the diff centres and the acuator:eek:
Still cheaper than buying another car:angel:

Just wondering, were the diff oils ever replaced? (should be done atleast every 60,000 despite what the book says) and was the handbrake ever adjusted? Sometimes these very important things are skipped at service time :(

I have spent quite a bit of coin on my D3 in repairs and maint, but all good now and a pleasure to drive.
Km's on the car at present are 175,000 05 TDV6.
Certainly the early D3's are showing there qwerks, as they get some k's up on them.
I have done alot of research and have come up with some very reasonable options for spare parts and repairs.
When business is a bit more more stable, the D4 option will be explored.
I do feel that the end result, you end up with an fantastic motor car, but always explore the option of extended warranty, and note that repairs and maint will be expensive, and allow that in your future expenditure projections.

The trade in value is not much , but the useable value to you
is . I can well understand why it's worth your dosh to keep it
running . Seventy odd grand for a 2.7 D4 is a considerable jump ,
and if the heavy-wear-and-tear parts are replaceable for $10k
or so , goodluck to you :BigThumb:
