Just done one with two starts - one straight after glow plug light out, the other after the seat belt light out.

6.9 mb. PM with email and I will send via email. I can't seem to attach files thru this BB.

Thanks for that UP! .... 10sec's on the glow plug lamp

That's got to be a record. ;)
Mine's lucky to last 2 sec's with a cold engine.

What was the outside temp' when you did the video ?

Car ext temp was reading 2°C at time of the video, was down to 0° over night I believe. Car had been sat since 7 o'clock Fri morning.

I had to make sure the cam was setup for the first time, because after that you rarely see the glowplug lamp after the first start / use of the day.

Thanks UP. That explains why. It never gets to 2deg C here ...

I found it rather strange ... hey! ... what's that light ... oh, the glowplugs ... don't usually notice it, unless like in your video, it's ON for more than a sec' or two.

I don't get anywhere near that many on startup, never get chimes either. Is it possible that the chimer is disconnected? (location?).

Being V8 not going to get glow plugs, don't have SLS either.

What I do get, handbrake works intemittently, SRS, HDC/TC/ABS, oil & batt, M & S, sbelt.

What doesn't appear at at startup. CDL, works but (have internals and switch in tfr, also has been flickering on intemittently but had some wiring hanging on fnt tshaft), trailer,

What is the: Bottom row centre, also top right section, top row centre, second row right & bottom row right? These don't appear either.

That orange light in the fuel gauge is faulty, comes on at startup and visits all too regularly. Often in conjunction with large amounts of money disappearing from my wallet.

As you said them

ACE (active cornering Enhancement)
SLS (offroad mode for Air suspension)
Fuel Filter Water sensor (diesel only)
Overtemp Warning (auto box)

Chimes (seatbelt warning) was turned on by me to "try" to remind me to wear it, got in bad habit of not doing so. Need a diagnostic tool to do it.

The CDL does not normally appear on startup, it has no self test function, I just started the car with it engaged to show the light more than anything else.

Hope that helps.

Mine (glow plug lights) last ages and I live in a relatively warm spot. Does not seem to matter if warm or cold. Is it because my one is an early TD5 , did later ones get new super dooper fast action glow plugs? I hardly ever wait for the light to go out as always starts easy as even when frosty outside.

ACE (active cornering Enhancement) Have this fortunately hasn't shown
SLS (offroad mode for Air suspension) N/a, the lower left, far left looks very similar.
Fuel Filter Water sensor (diesel only) N/a
Overtemp Warning (auto box) Showed once when it went BHG on me, but hasppened when idling and hadn't actually been driven.

Chimes (seatbelt warning) was turned on by me to "try" to remind me to wear it, got in bad habit of not doing so. Need a diagnostic tool to do it. Many speak of the startup chimes, fortunately missing from mine.

The CDL does not normally appear on startup, it has no self test function, I just started the car with it engaged to show the light more than anything else. I have the internals and believe the switch. Is it the switch that faces fwd with two male spade pins? Recently started flickering on with acceleration/braking. Put it down to the wire hanging down near the front t/shaft(tfr end)

The orange fuel light came on again today, must be another fuel fault.

If you have ACE, it should always show on ignition on as the ECU self checks the system.
