anyone got any experience with the above ?

cant justify a dslr but something like one of these would suit my needs.

if they werent so dear, this would be what i would like to get a Nikon D90 with the 18-105 VR lens but at 3 times the price of the fuji ....

DWI has several options under $600 in both Canon and Nikon, some well under. Looking at Staticice the Finepix is high $400-$550 or so?

Don't have any experience with that model, but a friend was rapturous after moving from an earlier Finepix to a DSLR.

Of course, DWI also has the Finepix at $320.

Oh well.

No experience with this.

The specs seem good for a non DSLR or EVIL:

Fujifilm FinePix HS10 Digital Camera - 10.3 Megapixel - Digital Camera Warehouse Australia (http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod6670.htm)

At the end of the day a camera that can reliably take reasonable quality shots conveniently is worth it.

I had a point and shoot Canon that drove me to distraction.

Pulling the DSLR out of the bag for a quick shot is sometimes a disincentive as well.

No experience with that model, but before I went down the dSLR route I had a Fujifilm S5500 and it proved to be a very capable camera.

Provided they haven't dropped the ball they still should be an excellent camera.

Inc,

I've also done plenty of business with DCW (Sydney) and never had any problems either purchasing over the net, in shop or returning stuff (bought a 1.4xTC that was incompatible with a lens)
