You lucky bugger!

Mate fleet looks great and that photo in itself is a big frame job I reckon!

The man is a legend!

and I bet he was happy to pose for you, even though I've heard he hates photos etc as it singles him out!! Yep a legend (Im very jealous - only one more thing could be in that photo that would make it irresistable (MMMMMM I wonder what that could be)

Yes he is a down to earth fellow. He had a good flight in the Iroquois (UH1-B) of Historic Flight.
I walked & chatted to his wife while the press lady got her questions in.

His first comment was "Oh, a long wheel base." I think he was happy for a bit of a distraction from the usual fare.

Digger you are correct in saying he was happy to get a photo with the van. As is usually the case with these type of visits, you just have a few moments to say g'day & they whisk the guest away.

Maybe next time he's down here he can be photographed with my short wheel base :).

Dennis the Occasion was a visit with Nowra Ex-Serviceman's club & the Fleet Air Arm Museum. There were some other diggers there but I was not privy to who they were. (Except the ones I know personally)
