Trout Fishing MacKenzie Counrty South Island New Zealand

I am heading over to the South Isalnd in a week and was wondering if any of you guys have fished this area and can provide some info on rivers, etc to fish. Probably going to be based out of Twisel or Fairlie after flying into Christchurch.

I was there 25 years ago and caught some great fish on fly and spinner but want to concentrate on the fly this time.

Any info would be appreciated

Just read a fishing mag warning fishos to thoroughly clean waders after visiting NZ.
google Didymo,Rock Snot or Didymosphenia geminata for more info.
Customs are very strict on the clenlyness of your gear on return.
