Hi Guys Just spoke to the guys at Bond Roll Bars


Unit 3, 6 Precision Place, Park Rd

They guys there noted that they would be happy to make a roll bar kit for my 2010 "90".

They Just need someone in this area to get one made or go in for a quote and measure.

Then they would have a design for production..

I saw a 90 in a crash on the road the other day, the cabin was squashed flat... No survivors !!!

The cost of the bar work may be from $800 to $1900+ for full internal cage....

Anyone interested ? I'am...

Great idea!

However FYI - a "full" (i.e. 6 point) cage is illegal in WA.

The only way to have a legal 6-point cage in WA would be to have the front hoop external - as in the NAS/safety devices roll cage:

Either way - it would be good to start talking to the dpi (or whatever they are called these days) now - since they need to OK any mods before you do them.

That's peculiar. What's the rationale behind that? You'd have thought it would be a good safety add-on.

It seems a bit silly to me too. However I think the rationale is related to passengers hitting the A-pillar bars and/or side bars of the cage during a crash.

Also - more strange WA laws:
CCDA regs it states that "plate at least 3mm thick must be used for the base mountings" where as in the (WA) DPI regs it states it must be at least 6mm thick...
