Hi All,
I have been searching around and found conflicting information about wether my 96 D1 rear centre with an ARB locker converted to uni joint with a D1 shaft all bolt into my standard mid 2000 model D2.

It all measures up ok but if anyone knows of any issues I may come accross please let me know? It's been in 2 different D1's and has been sitting in a bucket for 9 months now.

Was going to sell it but I might as well just stick it in the D2 if it will fit.

Thanks
Stephen

As far as I know, the only difference is the length of the pinion on the diff, when changing from the rotoflex to a uni you need to put a 10mm spacer in the D2 diff pinion, so if your using the D2 casing you'll need to put the spacer in, I don't know if this needs to be done if it's a straight swap using the complete centre and housing from the D1.

I think there is a slight difference between the centres and the housings.

As long as the D1 Diff is a 24 spline, it will go straight in.

Im running an ARB with 4 bolt flange / uni on the diff with a D1 rear shaft now.

It's the same locker -- RD128 for both Disco's.

Thanks guys I will put it in then. I think it needed that 10mm spacer on the d1 centre as well from memory.
