Only 4 P38's attending so far on 5th/6th March:

redandy3575 (Andy)
DT-P38 (Dave)
rovinrangie (Martin)
PaulP38a (me)

Lots of Discos, Defenders and a few Classics, but not too many of "us".

Come on you lot, especially the Victorain and southern NSW/ACT boys and girls. You don't have to get your P38 dirty if you don't want to, just come along and meet a few other P38 drivers.

Personally, I'm torn between the off-road trip and the wine tour ;)

Hope to see you there.

cheers
Paul.

I'll almost certainly be going, actually not too far from home. Haven't been up the Wombat since the recent flooding, some of those roads will be very *interesting* now. Check out Nuggety track if you've got spare time, was washed out and VERY steep before the floods

cool... just 5 more and I think we can safely say we will have a "pride" of P38's in attendance ;)

If we reach 10 P38's, I will donate a case of Corona's and a few bottles of red... who am I kidding? I'll do it anyway... more than 10 P38's = 2 cases :D and I'll contribute to the snags/rolls/onions if DT-P38 will cook them.

Always happy to cook up a feed for my fellow P38 tragics! Especially those buying beers!!!

I probably won't have all the jobs done on my "pretty pig" that I wanted but we will be there with bells on! Not even gonna get the new tyres I wanted... anyway, at least we will be able to sit near Clark and Paul eyeing off their discreet winch mounts and HRA lift kits!!!

FWIW, I think we will be going to do the hard/dirty trip, its always handy pushing the limits of the pig with plenty of other vehicles around to help pull us out!

Paul, BTW did Martin tell you about the extensions he was doing to his hieght sensors? I remember you were looking at options/alternatives a while ago.

He did... impressive work too. I look forward to seeing them on his Rangie at the gathering.

I've been trialling some Terrafirma shocks on my P38 this week... nice (but quite firm) on EAS highway mode, not so sure yet on normal and high... will swap back to the 33"s muddies on the weekend to see what this does to the shocks and then decide whether it wears the TF's for the trip or I go back to the Boss 12-ways.

Got a few other jobs to do before the trip:

oil change/air/pollen filters
Rewire the reverse lamp (27W LED ) to make it selectable for reverse or as a work/camp lamp... certainly not for "payback" to vehicles behind with too-bright driving lights :wasntme:
rearrange the front work lamps
connect the UHF antennae
Wash it? (nah!)
fix the condensate leak in the passenger footwell (again)

Looks like we are up to 7 P38's now... 3 more and we got a "pride", 2 cases of Coronas, a few bottles of Red and some snags if they will all fit in the esky.

Cheers, Paul.

G'day Paul,

Can't guarantee it, but most likely I (and some of my tribe) will be there. But life is busy!

How about the coffee shop at "Footrot Flats" next week? Saw you driving your "100" P38 in yesterday arvo... I'm now based in that other building out there ;)

Cheers, Paul.

Paul

I've never heard it called 'footrot flats', but I love it!!

I only go in there to slum it. I have to change the Rangie for a big white stretched commodore and play taxi driver till the wee small hours.

Which building are you in?

I haven't seen the 'Hardie' in there anywhere, although I usually don't arrive till after nock off time.

Trev - it's not the cars I'd be complaining about, but your passengers ;)

I'm in 5 - other side of the round-about as you enter. It's fair to say that I am usually still there after the accepted knock-off time, but less likely to find me there at the common/accepted start-time :D

I usually drive the Rangie and park it illegally somewhere around 5, or if I'm pulling bits off the Rangie I'll often be in the red Holden Crewman with the big hardrange.com sticker on the back window.

Saw yours again as I was leaving tonight. If you want to catch up one arvo for a chat, give me a call as you are coming in.

Still only 7 or 8 P38's so far for Greendale? Looks like that 2nd case of Coronas is staying at home :(

Cheers
Paul.
