Ron,

You could give Dennis a ring and visit him.

Also you've got a brand new turbo AWD vehicle in the yard, take that for a spin.

cheers

I went for a ride.

Maybe Saturday evening was not a good idea.

The first incident was when a bloke pulled out of a driveway in front of me - when there wasn't a car in sight behind me. He only had to wait a few more seconds.

The second was a similar thing but the bloke turned in front of me from a side street. Again, I was the only vehicle in sight in either direction.

Both must have seen my headlights.

Then about 1km from home, a bloke came out of a side street and turned in the opposite direction to me - into my lane on the highway! Fortunately the road was wide enough for me to take avoiding action. If he hadn't suddenly realised and also taken avoiding action, even as it was at the last moment, I don't know that I'd be here telling the tale.

That got the adrenalin pumping.

While they may or may not have seen your headlight, did you actually have it switch ON?

PS, PM me your postal address, I have a CD ready for you.

Bikes have headlights on when running all the time, regardless;)

Also, being run over is likely at some stage, even with light on:(

Thanks all. She came home today. It looks like she'll be on blood thinning drugs for a while - possibly the rest of her life but we hope not.

We hope it doesn't put a damper on her travel. She likes to go away on holidays, I don't, so she goes by herself.

Hope she gets better quickly. Don't be too concerned about blood thinning drugs, my Dad has been on them since his bypass surgery when he was 53. He is nearly 72 now, so they must do some good!
