Travelling along Stud road near Brady Road I noticed a very cool looking Deefer in full military camo paint, I looked like a late model Puma I could get close enough, it was driven by a civilian and had a bit of kit on it.
Any one here?

How about a full camo RRC? Recently I was at the lights on Stud/Wellington, and some larrikin (you?:) ) drove past horns blaring! I was towing a Kimberley Kamper.
Looks like the picture below, but now with black wheels, 35s.....and a bonnet obviously.

No not me I don't blair my horns for any one, I want to save my electricity for something more important, like larrikans and hoons that cut me off by doing right hand turns in front of me from the far left side of the road.

Have to say the vehicles look very well set up, very capable looking duo, BUT, the camo. paint job? No offence , but on a civilian vehicle, it just looks.... well,,,,,,, no other word... silly. Bob.

Silly? So is having a duck on the bonnet :D
I enjoy it, at least its different, and it only cost $300 all up to paint it, so one day I will probably go back to a straight colour, either white or black. It certainly gets lots of double takes and laughs.
My not so dutiful wife flatly refuses to go near the car let alone in it haha :)

Im sorry I have to disagree, I think the camo disco looks awwwwsome:-) thats whats so great about owning a LR, being a individual, But then my favourite colour is olive drab, I also owned a Haflinger that my wife refused to ride in and the only way my daughter got in it was when i picked her up and threw her on the back which she exited even faster, no accounting for some peoples taste..Gary

I like teh Rangie and gather it's been done proper as well - with no sharp edges at the colour changes. The IR absorbency is questionable though.

What interests me about the Rangie is the snorkel , looks like a cross between a Mantec and a Safari. What design is it? BTW, not really knocking the camo. , I think you would turn heads without it. Bob:D

I dont know, to be honest. Local bloke in "the hills" works on it. (Its not my car, its my business partners). He was asked to fit a snorkel, and he did. Its a fibreglass jobby.

I have to be honest, this car was the inspiration for doing the Rangie...mates RRC was silver, got damaged in that hail storm last year. AAMI wanted to write it off. We convinced them to pay for a paint job. We have a paintbooth. Could have taken the 5k they dished out and painted it properly.....or :) I sent him a picture of this Disco....and he was keen. His wife said NO....then she suprised us by saying....it would be OK if it was "proper cam". We still had paint from the last job we did for the ADF. So, 5k into his sky rocket, and CAM it is. Its pretty funny watching his missus (6ft, blonde, girly girl) rock up to pick the kids up from school in the Mainge Rover. If he had gone the snow cam...I might have done my Disco too.
