Since moving to Newman I have given up full time work and now I'm just a relief driver for Holcim Concrete working a few hours a day.Being an active person it's been a struggle staying at home sitting still so I decided to get in shape,I go to the gym every morning after dropping the kids at school and it's been nice being surrounded by elastic clothed mums:D,but I really decided to do good so Joined the St John's Ambulance service.I will be the first to admit that it's been hard at times but I've really enjoyed learning,I like using my brain and tonight I got my first patient. The poor bugger had a very nasty dislocated knee so I gave him a green whistle to relieve the pain and got him on a liter, then onto the stretcher and then in the ambo.I was doing very well until I missed the turn to the hospital so we went the long way but all up I think I did well.Anyway tommorrow and sunday I'm on duty at the motoX which I've been told is a good place for injuries so here's to it.
