G'day
I have got a pair of Lightforce Genesis to mount on my D3 TDV6 SE 2009, which came with all the wiring harness, relay and switch. When looking at the instructions I need to connect a "trigger wire" to the high beam.
Does anyone know the best place to find the high beam wire, either on the headlight or somewhere else. If so could you please give me some specific details about where to find it and what color it may be.
Also has anyone mounted a switch in the dash or stereo console and the best way to go about it, removing the plastic covers etc.
Cheers

Birky,
If you search through the D3 part of the forum, I posted a thread a couple of years ago about connecting up a set of driving/spot lights. I used the LR dash mounted switch rather than the one supplied with the lights. I inlcuded which wire you need to connect to in the post.
When I ordered my D4, I got them to fit the driving light kit from new. I have since taken the lights off as they ere next to useless. Once I fit a bar for my HSE I will fit a decent set.
Good luck.

Thanks for the answers. I have located the blue/grey wire on the left headlight as it has a lot more room to work on rather than the right. I want to remove the plug from the left headlight so I can solder the trigger wire to the blue/grey wire.
Does anyone know how the wiring connector plug is removed from the headlight, there seems to be a clip which holds it on however I couldn't work it out.
Cheers

After a few hours work the spots are installed, thanks for the help. The install went pretty smooth.
