Its been a while since I've been here, but since obtaining my 2A Landy, I've been busy over a long period of time with my project, so here's the update for those who might be interested.

its a long slow process, but we are getting there, I can only work on it when my head is in the right place, if you know what I mean.
I have done all the work to date. [ Panelbeater/Fabricator by Trade ]

Thanks - I picked up another gearbox for mine today - but it is gonna need a dentist, judging by the number of teeth that came out through the drain hole. I haven't done any panel work on mine so I am enjoying looking at the pics of yours - so smooth (and dent free). Lovely.

I kinda get the feeling that I've upset the purists, traditional landy lovers
by doing what I'm doing with my S2A. I can see that they love a resto as
long as its back to its original factory spec's.
I love Landy's as much as the next person, but I want to have something a bit different.
I think you all will like it when its finished, doesn't matter if you don't,
I know I will.:D

Have to agree with you on that one Tonestar..

Mines also not going back to a rivet counters dream;)
I'm building mine to what i want. At the end of the day its my time, money, sweat and tears that are going into it.
So if somebody doesn't like it!! Thats there problem!

So keep going the way you are. And keep the pic,s rolling please

Cheers

Love the colour! It reminds me of the SES :D
I agree with the others - it is your car do what you like with it :D
My S3 will be a contender for feral-ute-of-the-year when it is done,

That's pretty impressive work. Good stuff.
Each to their own, really. Some people go for restoration, others like to do something different. I'm not a rivet counter (yet), but I regret butchering some things on my Landy twenty years ago: work that I am now trying to undo... All the same, though, I am not trying to get it back to completely original conditon. More the "feel" of what it was like new.
At the end of the day, there are enough original vehicles out there to satisfy the purists. The work you're doing on your vehicle looks terrific. It will be wonderful to see the finished product.
