What did the Japanese do to **** the gods of this much? If they have not had enough grief already. The Shinmoedake volcano in southern Japan has erupted and is the largest eruption by this fairly active volcano in over fifty years. Poor buggers are really copping it. Yes I am saddened by the devistation in Japan. But in the Bible in Matthew chapter 24 Jesus Christ did warn us that one of the signs of the end of the world will be "Earthquakes in Diverse places." And we are also told in the book of Revelation that there will be a big earthquake "such as there was not, since there was a nation." Some argue there have always been earthquakes. World wide one big earthquake were recorded every One Hundred years or so, until around 1800AD. Earthquakes have come with greatly increasing frequency since then, John.

What's bloody diverse about the place??? The entire island is sitting on a join of the tectonic plates and have multiple earthquakes hence why the cities are designed to withstand them and floods.

What else have you got ;)

Must be God. Defend that one:p:twisted::angel::wasntme::angel:
Look not unusual for Japan, a bit nastier than usual but they are on a fault line and are better prepared than most.
Such a waste of life and my daughter wants to go over there for foreign exchange.

The Taupo eruption in New Zealand 186AD is the largest eruption world wide in the last 5000 years. It registered in Europe. The largest ever is said to be Taupo 26000 years ago. The lake at Taupo is the volcano caldera. Its a big lake....

Sheeze I was only making a general comment on how the Japanese are getting it in the neck more than usual. Was not in any way shape or form a theological comment regarding the end of the world or any thing. On a lighter note. Just finished watching a doco on the Sun. A lot of what is happening at the moment can now with some accuracy be attributed to the Sun and it`s cycles.

The sun's "Sunspot/Flare" activity goes in cycles of approx 11year separations this year is one where there is a lot of flare activity

So the sun's a girl then? Must be. Full of mood swings and you can never quite work out what she is going to do next. And when there ain`t no sunspot/flare activity at all we will get cold, real cold. Has happened once. Mini ice age from about 1550 to 1850 At the moment we are suffering warming and the cycle is about to swing the other way.

Like most others Hall, your opening to this thread smacked of theological, God fearing End of The World stuff.
Glad to hear that you have realigned with the planets and all is good now ;)

we have been watching this site for years and there is an average of 10 quakes a day, occasionally there will be a spell of only one or two a day and then a big one.

We just have to wait now until they figure out the 11 year averages and you can bet that we'll have a 'Sunspot/Flare' tax ;)

I think that is already what we have except they are falsely blaming carbon. There's a lot of credible evidence that warming is caused by the sun not co2. Who'd have thought?

The lord definitely works in mysterious ways, you are proof of this. As for a diverse place, I'll wait till an earthquake hits Bankstown before I repent my life.
