I have experienced a couple of issues with the SRS & Cruise Control on the D3.
The SRS red light appears on the dash, pretty much straight away upon start up.
The cruise control has also been intermittant.
After a bit of detection work, the both sensors/switch are related.
The run through the Rotary Coupler in the driver steering assembly.
We swapped one over from another car, to see if that solved the issue, and yes it did.
I have had advice that it was an issue in the seat belt clasp, etc etc.
If you find you experience the same issue, explore this option.
I was advise a coupler would cost $680.00 from our local dealership, and would have to order in from the UK.
I went direct to Craddocks in the UK, and they in turn ordered from LR UK.
The cost ended up at $178.00 AUD Landed.

Just thought it would be useful info to someone, if the same issue or symptoms arise.:)

I would be trying to get your money back off LR. There was a TSB for the rotary coupler as it contols the airbag. It is a safety issue.

Should have been fixed as part of this TSB. If it has failed then it was not done so should be done for free.

Check the VIN range.

Make some noise. ;)

If it has been serviced by the dealer it should have been done automatically. If it hasn't then you should be able to argue. IF not it is a known safaty issue and should have been a recall. It is worth trying to argue it.
