Hi all , bought 2001 v6 freelander as suits our needs where we live. Goes well with the exception that sometimes at low speed when turning reasonably hard lock there is a knocking sound comes from the rear of the vehicle. any ideas ? thanks:(

could be anything really ........... you will need to do a visual inspection

check suspension, diff mounts/bushes, and exhaust.

Are diff mounts on Freelanders a common thing to go? and how hard r they to replace. am thinking about a freelander for the missus but the one i'm looking at might need rear diff mounts replaced. ? any tips on other parts of freelander to watch for? or is there a forum here on this stuff?
thanks

thanksDo you like her? Get a diesel.
If not, get either of the petrols.

Check out the Freelander section of AULRO

And yes, diff mounts are fairly common - almost a consumable.
