I want to sell my Hema Navigator 4.5, but the battery is dead and won't hold charge (common prob with this model). It works fine on external power.
I don't want to sell it unless it's in top nik, so I've been trying to get a battery for it.........not easy it seems.
I've contacted several battery suppliers with no luck so far. The battery doesn't appear much different to many others (see picture below) I've quoted the details and even sent the pic, but nobody has a replacement for this model.

I remember when I bought the GPS, Hema said the battery could only be replaced by their service department, but having had a look inside, it is a simple matter of plugging in a new one.

Can anyone recommend a battery supplier to try. I'm sure these batteries are out there somewhere. The code on the battery is H683759, 3.7v, 1700mah, 08B18

Cheers, Murray

When the battery died in my Toshiba PDA I bought a cheapo nokia battery that was the right size and disected them to attach the PDAs circuit board to the new battery. Worked well and cost about $10.
I've see phone batteries rated to 1500mA.

Hi rijidij,
When I was with search and rescue, we had a number of old two-way radios. They were impossible to get new batteries for, but I located a company in Sydney (Seven Hills?) who rebuilt them with new cells. You may well find a similar coy. in Vic.

Best Wishes,
Peter
