View Full Version : Wiring under cubby box - what is it?

I am replacing my cubby box with a little Waeco fridge. When I removed the box I discovered wiring coming up through a grommet in the very centre of the vehicle - it has a connector which had nothing plugged into it - however there are various mounting screw holes where something has been previously mounted by CFS - I suspect communications equipment.

Following it back it seems to connect into a larger loom heading back toward the engine bay.

Can anyone help?

Looks like the connector to plug a Nanocom or laptop into to read the ECU, assuming of course yours is a TD5

That's the connector to allow interrogation etc of the Engine Control Unit [i.e. the engine's computer] which is located under the driver's seat. It's where you would connect a Nanocom if you had one.

Take care with it.
