Entries for the 2011 event are open.A road type event but using mountain bikes to cope withthe rough tracks. Different course again this year, bit longer in time and distance. Having done the previous two I cannot recommend it highly enough. Great as a touring exercise with an added spice of doing some chasing. It sounds all good except for the road bit. I'd rather be smashing single track :twisted:.

Haven't seen final details of actual course but I understand that they are trying to find as much single track as possible with road bits in between. Access to be able to cart out casualties is an issue , last year they used choppers- maybe this year as well. Uphills are a slog but the following downhills more than make up for the climbs. This year only gets to 1,500 mts whereas last two years nearly topped 2000 metres- still cool enough to enjoy the ride.
