A mate from work bought off ebay a motorola uhf radio from HK that of course once he received it realised that he cant use it here, is it possible to have it re programmed for our frequency range or has he bought a paper weight ?

I bought two so at least I can talk to someone else.
What model no. Motorola is it? A quick search on the web will tell you if the frequencies can be modified.
Or get him to buy another one to give to a friend.
