Well thought i would make my first post when i had done something

Always wanted a Truck Cab 90/Defender to bring home so brought a 1986 2.5 Petrol in the UK in 2007 before coming home and all the other bits i thought

I used Penetrol as a etch primer before roller/brush painting with Mettalic blue hammer effect from supercheap

Welcome to the forum - and I have to say this has to be the best first post I've seen, so congrats.

A very nice looking 90 you've got there. Seeing it in single cab config, I may be tempted to convert my 90 Panel Van into one as well.

Out of curiosity, was a 2nd hand 90 chasis difficult to source in NZ?

I think they are very hard to get hold of here via my work i was talking to a garage/workshop owner in my home town who works on Land Rovers and said i was rebuilding one and he said he had a chassis in his garage he wanted to sell so did a deal
was going to bring one over from perth but freight cost was too much

mind you my orig chassis would cost $600 to weld up

thats a great job you have done especially with the roll on paint :)
