I guess its no more wrong than vegemite & honey sandwiches - breads got to be real fresh though or it doesn't work, or ginger nuts with crunchy peanut butter or one of my personal favorite 'I'm fat & I know it' snacks - quality vanilla ice cream as a dip for salted potato crisps, man I'm hungry & this is meant to be my good week.

My kids have been known to have vegemite and chocolate spread together :o
Had a mate that used to put tomato sauce on his vanilla ice cream :eek2::eek2::eek2: He was Canadian though.

coffee through a tim tam.......good stuff!
Yes, very nice, but the tim tam falls apart quickly - try port through a tim tam - tastes great and lasts longer.
Another favorite is when I go to maccas I dip my fries into my chocolate sundae... mmm.
I think I need to go to maccas all of a sudden...

I must confess I don't know whether Cowleys is as old as that, but I know it was trading over 50 yrs ago.....you could be on a winner for the age stakes. Anybody have any ideas for Cowleys?
Regardless, they were magic floaters:twisted:
Newsflash.....look up www.practicallyedible.com/floaters....reference to Cowleys in the early 1900's in Adelaide and claims that is where the floater originated from.

And today's history lesson continues re the floater....check www.globalfoodie.com/2009/05aussie-pies/
It claims the floater actually originated in Pt Pirie and spread to Adelaide in the early 1900's. Also mentions Harry de wheels but states that what they sold was NOT the fabled floater but a version thereof.
Not my claims I hasten to add, that is what is written:angel:
Also claims that Harry de Wheels started in the late 1930's.

Geez .............. I originated in Pt Pirie too and spread to Adelaide (though a little later than the early 1900's). I can remember two pie carts in Adelaide many years ago - one outside the train station and the other near the town hall. Can't ever remember seeing them in Pirie though ........... must have been before my time. :D
