A good lesson on reversing down a steep slippery track.
Not a good outcome !!:(

Do you reckon it's an auto? Probably doesn't make much difference but it obviously got away on him pretty fast.

I could be wrong but I believe lack of experience is to blame. Natural instinct was to hold on the brakes and hug the inside edge.. A little more off road experience could have prevented such an incident.

it's a shame that, as stevo would put it,
his 'cock head' mates didn't assist in guiding him.

hopefully this is a lesson all our members can learn from.

there is more to a recovery than getting a snatch strap out,

recovery's start at the point when the vehicle couldn't go forward anymore.

no one helped him,

i do not want to see that happen in our club.

please all that see this vid dave put up , pass it on to all your mates.

all that was needed was two minutes of somebodies time to guide that car to reverse.
that would have cost nothing, and later in the day the driver may have shouted you a beer,
instead he probably got his car written off and was deniged an insurance claim.
Presto

In my experience as a fairly new member, this would never happen on any of our trips. We have way too many experienced members who want to help - the sign a good club!! :)
