Just need to move an engine to the back of the house - I thought the engine is around 5-600 kgs - and the payload of a Defender is over 1,000 kgs.
Just want to make sure before I put it in the boot.

Thanks

Incisor and I managed to move both a petrol and a diesel motor today on a cheapy delivery trolley with blow up tyres.

I'm sure the defender will cope.:D

More like 200kg, I remember I bought a trolley rated at 250kg knowing the engine it was within the limits of the trolley. They aren't a big block. I have a complete 2.25D sitting in the back of my SWB 2a and it didn't compress the springs at all when it was lowered in. The Defender will cope without hesitation.

I dug the weight out from somewhere when I pulled the engine out, and from memory it was specified as 205kg.

That's obviously highly dependent on how many bits you've pulled off, whether there's any oil in there, and so on.

However, if you work on 200kg you'll be fine.
