Never seen this before - pretty peculiar to see fish catching themselves with no rods or hooks or nets etc.

I once caught a Mackeral at Monkey Mia by the tail.It was chasing baitfish into the shallows.Was quick enough to grab it before it was able to swim out on the next wave.

Their all bleeding from the gills when they jump in, could be no oxygen in those waters causing them to do that, my guess
