Woa. Too Bling for my tastes. Interesting perspex panels, must have been some sore of showcase truck.
I was after more of a simple, paint stripper and 1200 grit and let nature turn her grey.

PM 'killer' on this site he has one..not as shiny as that last one though:o...there are limitations on the 'shinyess' though for rego in QLD, not sure about other states;)

Yes - ask killer for some pics of the "Silver Bullet" as he has christened it. I don't have any in electronic form.
Actually I have this one.  The yellow bonnet and blue/green other panels (and the fact that dad was too tight to pay for some paint) are the reasons we stripped it:

I suspect what you are looking for is a "brushed" finish - like Mal's Sidewinder

It is a LOT of work on a previously painted vehicle - and you may find a few surprises under the paint. The worst part is small dints where they have ground the panel with a coarse sanding disc. The dint itself doesn't look to bad in a brushed finish, but the grinding marks are almost impossible to sand out.
