Does anyone know how to remove the Discovery 4 TDV6 grill so I can do a thorough bug clean out? I can see 4 clips on the top that open easily but the bottom fixing is a mystery.

On the D3, there's another 2 clips similar to the top ones in the lower gap in the grill and close to the headlamps. Have a look just above the bumper on the D4.

The bottom has a clip at each end. Best to pull each bottom corner before releasnig the top to help hold the grille steady as the bottom ones take quite a tug.

Thanks for the help on this. I got the grill off OK. I just got back to Perth from a 9400km run road trip over 3 1/2 weeks to Melbourne and onwards to Batemans Bay, then heading towards home via Canberra, Albury and along the Murray. I ran into some locusts on the west side of the Eyre Peninsula in SA and then various bugs along the way after that. The car and radiator sure got a smothering.
Actually I got the tip on how to get it off from a good UK web site that had a video of a Range Rover grill removal that is pretty much identical fixing as the Disco 4.
The Disco 3 is different for the bottom fixing.
Cheers
Rob;)

That sounds as though it would have been a nice little run. I have flyscreen fitted all the time and whilst it looks rather ordinary fitted over the b/bar, it means I don't have squished locusts all over the grille too.
