or is that a bit personal ? :D

Just for ****s and giggles I ran the 130 over the weighbridge at the local quarry the other day and I went

2920kg (including a 92kg driver) and that's just a normal payload of tools and spares.
I was minus a 30kg vacuum pump and a few other bits and pieces that I would normally carry too, so I would crack the 3000kg mark at least one day a week.

but its the vertical length thats the problem... hair touches the roof lining if it is'nt slicked down.

3000Kg is getting up there  Quite a lot for a little 2.5L to haul around.

Is the GVM for a 130 3500Kg? That's my recollection, so really you still have half a tonne you can add to that!

I haven't checked the Disco, but the work van with normal tools & spares, with driver was 2720KG on the scales, max gross is 2800:eek:,gave me a surprise. Now if i was loaded for a job,a compresser change,or whatever,i would be well & truely over.
So most of the time it is over, just have to add a 70KG apprentice,or for that matter the wife & the two dogs.

The real surprise is it gets 15l/100 on LPG all the time:o:)

used to TA for a diesel fitter, had the 'cruiser on the scales at one side one day, 4220kg..... thats with my tradie and myself in the office, near empty tanks and no oils or parts in the back of the ute.... factor in 2 fat buggers, 200-odd litres of diesel, various service parts and often several 20L drums of oil...... thank christ we never got pulled over by the transport inspectors!

and to think i had that beast up on 2 wheels!

Thanks fella's.
I didn't think I was carrying that much either, I tend to feel I'm travelling a bit 'light on' in terms of work gear these days.

I know of one 130 CC that used to tare over 3000kg as it had a camper on the back.
Once fully fuelled and loaded it would've been close to GVM too.

Matt and Mike, I'd forgotten you've both mentioned how heavy your vehicles were in the past, I don't feel like a bad owner now :D

Genuine Tojo gas injection system, which is Landi Renzo, much better than the old vapour system we had before, but probably much more expensive to fix if it fails....

The last time I went to the tip we got weighed going in and out. And they gave me the printouts.
