parts interchangability

hi all as i have an old 1984 range rover auto 3.5 V8 sitting in the yard for spares on my truggy i wanted to know what will fit the disco 1995 tdi auto

so far i have been told that the tail shafts will fit and to swap out the rear if its a rubber uni type.
can any one tell me will the windscreen fit i know they use different rubbers

Not much is going to be interchangeable, despite looking similar.

Your idea of using the rear shaft is fine but the RR pinion flange won't fit the Disco (different splines IIRC).

The RR screen is held in with a rubber whereas the Disco screen is bonded. I doubt they'll be interchangeable even if the general shape is the same.

I am pretty sure the windscreens are.
Door seals , side windows( although the D1 ones may be thicker)
Complete axles though no ABS and the brake lines would have to be special metric /imperial hybrids.
However a lot changed even in RRC between 84 and 90s.
