Just wondering if anyone on here has pictures of the gear selector mechanism for a 101, or pics of it set up on a gearbox?
reason being is that i just went to stick my LT95 into a new project (LSE soft dash rangie) and the gear selector is going to come up under the dash, so i need to locate the shifter back about 120mm, and could possibly do this by modifying a 101 one:).
Any help appreciated.

thanks Ron, i think i can make that work fairly well. Could even bring the gearstick back to the T-bar position which would be much better to drive (350mm back), moving the hi/lo selector forward would be tricky though. How do the 101 ones work? any chance of pics of that?
understand its cable selected, so could be made rather easily, but factory parts would be easier again

101s are cable operated
It would be difficult to use the 101s set up on another vehicle due to the difficultly of finding 101 components and the cables would have to be made to suit your application and the 101 levers in the cabin wouldnt suit .

Ron, i can make the trans case shifter from the old T-bar shifter from the old auto. But after running the tape measure around, i dont think i have the clearance for the gear shifter (that thing in your second photo)between the gearbox and the floor, will have approx 120-140mm

The black linkages in the centre of the above pic is the linkage for the over drive. The Hi/Lo range lever and linkage is at the top left of the pic.
Mrs H H. - in a normal 101 lever set up the winch lever is on the right - in the center is the Hi/Lo lever and the spot on the left is spare (though I have seen the levers the opposite side - the 101 at Bandiana has this setup) - this is where Ron has put his O/d lever. On mine I have set the O/D lever nearest the driver as this is the lever I move most. The Hi/lo is in the centre and I have moved the winch lever over to the passenger side as it is used the least.

As per factory
Lefthand drive 101s winch lever on the left.
Right hand drive 101s winch lever on the right.
The owner can set up any lever to any other cable function, it is just a matter of swappings things around to suit personal needs.
Winch lever is the shortest one from the factory.
Spare winch levers are in demand for use as overdrive levers when fitted.
My overdrive lever is handmade and I it made it longer than normal so I could feel at night time in the dark which lever I was useing and I have a stiff detent action on my overdrive ,so the the longer lever suited my needs.
