Yesterday I picked up my replacement Discovery, a '92 200Tdi model i bought off ebay for $1500

It needs a bit of work and a decent clean but should be good once i'm finished

The transfer case needed replacing, which was the reason for the previous owner selling it

some of the clear coat has peeled off, so some time in the future it will probably get rubbed back and the clear coat re-sprayed

Nice one. The ARB bar and snorkle more than pays for the total cost :D

it also needs the timing belt done, as the previous owner has had it for 90,000k's and hasn't changed it, so i will be making a big order from paddocks in the UK to sort everything out, it seems tons cheaper that way

Why is it that ALLLLL the good deals are in Vic! Argh, I would love a spare parts car for that sort of $$$.

Nice purchase and I like that colour. Not all the good deals are in Vic.I bought a late 94 update 3.9 auto Disco with dual fuel a couple of months ago in far northern N.S.W for $1000.It has a cooked motor but found a great import engine from Murray in Bris for $1100 with only 70,000 kms and it looks very clean.I am presently doing the engine swap and looking forward to getting it on the road and then the mods will start.Pictures attached of it.
Cheers
