I did a bit of research on what wheels fit the Freelander and came up with something interesting.
The standard wheels seem to be 5 x 114.3 stud pattern with a +35 to +40 offset. Having plenty of room in the guards means offset isn't that critical, many americans run zero offset to have the wheels sitting proud of the arches.
The reason this is interesting is it opens up a broad range of wheel options. Cars with the same stud pattern & similar offset include Ford Falcon from AU onwards, Lancer Evo, Nissan GTR, Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4.
There are loads of these sorts of wheels on ebay & performance car forums, and it means it need not be difficult or expensive to replace the wheels on our Freebies.
