And chatted with the current owner.

It had a modified, larger capacity fuel tank. Possibly an "in service" modification.

I think Gary's has the same modification.

Does anyone know where there is a list of what 101 the names were?
I'm keen to find out the names of mine.

I recall the name but not the vehicle in its present form.
Is that Bev and Anthony Jonsons residence?
Wagoo.

No, that's at the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally in Western Victoria.
I also caught up with the former owner of the 100" you have. He was there in his Defender with a mate in a very nice S1 LWB. I took some photo's of that one too.

I tried to buy Misguided 1 when it lived up in Bonnie Doon in 2007 but the seller and I could not agree on a price - I believe he did not want to really sell at the time. I believe it is the second trials 101 that came out from the UK in the mid 70s for the Aust Army to test. The other trial 101 was Misguided 2 now owned by Iain Reed. The two trial 101s are a much earlier build than the rest of the Aust Army 101 fleet. The most obvious difference is that these vehicles have series 2 door locks rather than the anti-burst series 3 locks of the later 101s.

Yes, I noticed that.
AJ's has series 2 door latches as well. I assumed they all did and someone had changed them to anti-burst on one of mine. I think my other one has latches. I'll confirm that on the weekend.
Was I right that yours has a larger fuel tank?

Mine is a standard size tank but is not original - I assume my original one rusted out and the PO had one made - it is of a heavier construction and does not sit in the standard brackets as mine bolts direct to the chassis outriggers. All plumbing is as per the original arrangement though.

That would be Chris Brain. He still owns it as far as I'm aware. I'm merely agisting it in a nice grassy paddock. The series 1 ute belonging to Aaron Taylor is quite tasty, and doesn't get mollycoddled either.

Chris tells me he gave the 100" to you. You might want to confirm that. It sounded as if it had some nice bits on it.

It's not too bad really. just needs some Ashcroft CVs and 24 spline halfshafts in the front ARB,and some Q78 TSLs to be a real beast.
