I am seeking to purchase a Series II V8 with auto trans. I see reference to Engine Saver.

Please tell me what is Engine Saver and what is its purpose??

The link Pedro refers to doesn't really give a clear indication of what it does.l, so here we go.... It senses a drop in coolant levels and alerts you before any damage is done to the engine. That's why it's called an engine saver.

Have a look at the engine watchdog for the other way of doing it. Knowing your head temp is fanastic.
