So you hear the horror story's.............

But what about those special times when your alone, (No wife / kids / dogs or associated passengers), and you hop in your 110 (or 90 or county or other......!) and everything is just going your way. The sun shines, the windows are down, your cruising along with a bit of music and the feel of the machine is just so sweet.

Thats what I had just yesterday, maybe it was a combination of getting out of the office, and the colder air giving the engine a bit more purr, but geez it felt great. And it got me to thinking, you hear all the horror stories but rarely do you hear of those special moments when being a Landy owner is just the bees knees............

Cheers all, and may you all have one of those moments soon.:)

Same here PAT - no horror stories from me either.

I just note that all I seem to hear or read about is problems, but we never hear about those times when it just feels great to be driving.......

Cheers

Same. Been to the cape, deserts, high country. Came home every time without a problem. Before a big trip, always get Graeme Coopers to check over and replace anything a bit dodgy.

I had the same moment the other day, driving down the beach, wind in the hair, little music, beautiful sunny day :)

Yep sure do, this time I had the whole family in toe. After an awesome week at Katoomba, we headed for home. Soft morning light, fog in the vallies, clean crisp air. Cars humming, family happy.....kind of moment you want to last all day.

Just love driving the Defender. Just feel more relaxed and happier with life when it's taking me somewhere

And the good thing is......... we all smile when we hear of another Landy owner enjoying his pride and joy.

It doesnt take much to remember that in all the bad stories you may hear (or read), there are a myriad of fantastic little gems........

Cheers to all !:)

I can relate. Yesterday I drove my 110 Defender (96 model) from Sarina straight through to the Gold Coast. Filled up at Camilla and had a food and coffee stop at Benaraby. Took just a fraction under 12 hours total. What an enjoyable way to spend the day.
As my brother (who also owns a Defender) says, "even when I am driving my Landy to work, I feel like I'm on holidays".
Kind regards... David

I used to live in Mackay as a young bloke (for a few years anyway), how is the downtown Sarina going ? I one did the trip from Airlie to Brisbane in 14 hours - in a commodore. So I reckon 12 hours in the defender from Sarina is pretty good going..............:)
