I got my first car park tap on the passenger door the other day - no dent but the paint chipped off.

Landrover want $450 for the four small rubber protection strips - anyone know of an aftermarket alternative. I have looked in places like super cheap but they only have the old narrow type - after the something that looks like the OEM strips.

Thanks

Garry

Yes Garry give the UK sites a go. I got a set delivered from the UK for $212 AUS and the exchange rate is better now.
Cheers, Barry

Nick Lee, he's the parts manager at Yeovil Land Rover, may take him a couple of days to reply but I'd recommend him, the prices he's quoted me for a load of parts for my car recently have been cheaper than even my independant can get them for.

Hi Garry,

I had a set delivered from Duckworth Parts 2 weeks ago. Plain black 90 pounds, with bright insert 105 pounds. I dealt with Dan Roberts. They accept Paypal. Very smooth transaction, arrived 7 days later.

Terry

I've asked Dan to check the stress loading of the LR Cargo Barrier, to compare with the Milfords here.

Hi Terry / Garry,

That's a tricky question because l ordered other things such as the rear cargo mat etc which were heavy and added more to cost of freight. I guestamate delivered it will total around AUD$200, but shoot Dan an email and he'll get back to you promptly with an exact figure. Our dollar is only getting stronger, so cost continuing to come down.
