in my ski boat is a 186 red, with a big cam/hydro lifters blah blah,,

now im not in the no with the history of the motor but i did the head gaskit when i first got it and looked very clean and fresh inside, so im guessing its been some what looked after, oil press is 60ish and drops to about 40 and maby 35ish after long hard runs,,

so what oil is best to run in this old motors, when i did the head i swaped it to a 15/50 i think it was full syn oil, is this to thick/use mineral oil,

had a look on our frend google and found nothing,

Check the web sites for the fuel/oil company of your choice and they will have an oil listed for it. Otherwise ring your local distibutor and he/she will have the information you need.

Cheers Mick :)

Anything, they are pretty bullet proof. What ever is on special at Coles or Woolies.

Penrite HPR 15/W60 Repco have it on special, its good gear for older engines especially with your oil pressure dropping after/during a flogging:o
