radio kaput

the stock radio in my 95 disco is kaput and I am trying to fit a pioneer DEH-2350, does anyon e know where to get a wire harness adaptor?

It is probably pushing it to expect they will have an adaptor for a Disco, but almost all of the shops that sell auto hi fi, sell wiring adaptors. The bigger hi fi shops are probably a better chance than SuperCheap and the like.

I would take both units down to your local shop, and try to match something up. Just noticed your address. That does make it a bit harder. You may have to send the data down to a helper down here.

Do the D1's not use ISO connectors? :(

Don't know about the D1s. The D2s certainly use ISO.

I previously owned a D2 and connected a OEM handsfree kit in myself.

The kit allowed phone audio through the front ICE speakers and used the mute function in the ICE head unit.

The harness on the H/F kit used ISO connectors and just plugged straight in to the system between the ICE and the cars harness.

No tracing of wires and tapping or soldering.

Have a look at the connectors in the Electrical Manual in RAVE, if you have one. I'd do this for you but I only have the D2 copy of RAVE accessible at the moment.

If the D1 uses ISO connections you should have no trouble getting a harness. I think even Pioneer have one if their head unit doesn't have ISO connections already (not all their head units have ISO sockets/plugs out back).
