after I posted, I typed Land Rover into the sites search engine and came up with over 10 pages of old newsreel footage - military, royals, safaris, motor shows, road tests....

Oh sorry,Must get my eyes tested. I misread the title as Overloading Grannies, which conjured up old memories of The Benny Hill Show with the grannie piggy back races.:)

That early post war MOD footage was very interesting,just shows how versitile those universal carriers were, the footage of the 80 inch landrover would be amoungst the earliest use of the marque, and the winching of the AEC Matador and 5.5 gun :) but walking beside that winch cable :eek:
