Does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive 19 inch rim in Sydney? I need a second spare.

Try AGR ar Sefton (Sydney) - I bought 6 x 19" genuine 2nd hand RRS wheels for $1000. Used for a set of GY MTRs so I can still use my h/w tyres around town. The RRS rims are 9" not 8" and are only 900kg rated not 940kg as D4 are. Still for a spare - a bargain.

I did the same thing - same tyres - mine from Barbagallo Tyres (next to Barbagallo Land Rover) in Perth WA; They shipped the rims to me in Adelaide;

Hi guys; I'm in this boat too. Need a second spare 19" for the D4.
Just wondering what price the RRS second hand ones were from Barbagellos in Perth.

If the $ are reasonable, I might try for 6, and get some decent ATRs fitted for the serious work.

These 19s are an interesting problem, I'm discovering, and thats before even thinking about whether they will be soft enough for sand work....

tks

The only 19s I know of are the Goodyear MTR that I bought. Cost me just over 500 each. Yet to give them a real work out. The RRS 19 " rims are rated at 900kg vs 940kg for the D4 rims.
It's not a perfect world.

I paid $250 each for RRS 19's from Perth; Exct condition; They also sold me 5 MTR's at around $460 each (back in mid 2010 when they had 60plus in stock); Have been really good off road.

Dont forget to check out Tirerack in the usa for tyres but remember any order over $1000 excluding freight will be hit with import duty etc

Maybe make make 2 seperate orders ??

I was looking at some 18" Goodyear Silent armour x5. nearly $1000 cheaper from US including freight. Just watch the $1000 limit.

That may still not work. If you import 2 orders totaling more than AU$1,000.00 from the same source within a 12 month period, they can tax you on the total value on the 2nd order.
I didn't worry about the $1,000 limit - even with GST they were substantially cheaper than buying locally. But that wasn't my reason for buying tyres internationally - they had supply. Local dealers were quoting 6 months (+) delivery. Tirerack delivered to my door in 7 days.

I just ordered them from the local Goodyear shop at $520 and got them within a few days...seems a whole lot easier.
That included fitting my TPMS too.
Hardly worth trying to save a few bucks...
