Oil Usage D4 3.0Lt

Hi all,
I was on the LR UK site yesterday and there was a thread that mentioned oil usage for the D4 3.0Lt. After reading it, I decided to check mine. To my suprise it took 800ml. It has been 8,500Klm's since my last oil change and who is to say that it was filled right up anyway.
BTW: I have over 55K on the clock and have never noticed 'blue smoke' that others have mentioned.
Interested to hear others comments.

I don't usually see blue smoke from mine but a couple of times I've had to jump out straight after starting only to see blue smoke similar to an old Jap vehicle. I've also had a couple of major smoke screens and mis-firing on hard acceleration after a couple of hours crusing.

I was quite surprised and dissapointed that the software update component of the fix still wasn't available here at my April service, having been available for a couple of months in the UK.

My 3.0L D4 has done 33K....no oil usage at all.

Yep I have lost a bar... hasn't moved since.

Its almost due for a service so I will get them to check it out.
