Gday All,

Can the Nulon coolant be added to the original L/R coolant or do I have to send SWMBO to the dealership to get it topped-up.

Cheers Ean

Hi Ean.

I'm using the Nulon OAT in the D2. It says it's not to be mixed with other coolants. Complete system flush before using ...

... standard disclaimer ?

Just to be sure, I'd say no. Send swmbo to the stealer.

Re Nulon OAT coolant.
It is not to be used with other types of coolant eg. Green.
It states on the lable that it is safe to use with other red/orange coolants.
Have used it as a top up.

How timely these posts on AULRO are - I've just returned from Auto One having bought some Nulon OAT in preparation for when I replace the coolant pump this afternoon and was wondering if I'd need to do a complete flush of the genuine LR OAT that I filled it with a short while ago or if just a top up with the Nulon would be OK.

So thanks for the thread and the posted comments/opinions.

I assume a top up so cannot help with that.

However if a replacement - the Disco service schedule has the coolant with a 10 year life cycle - as long as specific gravity tests at each service have it within specs. So in theory as a service item no Disco 3/4 should have had their coolant changed yet - I am not so sure of this but if the SG tests are OK then it should be OK.
