Hi guys, if anyone is bored and has some rhino cross-bars on their roof rails, can i ask a favour?

Could someone measure the distance between the bolts on the rhino foot-pods which hold the cross-bars to the foot-pods? Distance should be around 100cm or thereabouts I guess.

Reason being is that i have some rhino cross-bars alreadyfrom my 100 series, but they are wider than the ones in the rhino kit for the D4, and the slots to attach them to the foot-pods only go a certain way in from the side, so they might not be skinny enough for the D4. If i could use them, I won't have to buy new crossbars.

Thanks
Lucas
D4 on the docks, maybe ready next week.

Hi Lucas,

I must be bored.

I have rhino tracks and the pioneer tray that fits the standard rhino cross bar legs. It is worth noting that the D4 roof rails are not parallel and are wider at the rear than the front. Mine are plcaed on average where you woudl place your cross bars and these are my measurements.

From the inner edge of the foot where it suports the cross bar i get
Front 950mm (Add approx 40mm per side to get to cemtre of bolt)
Rear 900mm (Add approx 40mm per side to get to cemtre of bolt)

So in summary i think the measurements you were after are
Front 1030mm
Rear 980 mm

Congratulations on the purchase and the switch. The D4 is an awesome machine.

Thanks heaps PaulG, that is exactly the info I was after, and thanks for the heads up on the narrowing.

I have two bars where the gap is 1010mm and one where it is a bit narrower, so i should be able to use them.

Cheers
Lucas
