I just received the following email from my sister, who, although possibly lacking in some of the finer Land Rover appreciation skills that many possess, has developed in its place, a rather keen spotting eye, enabling her to pass on snippets of information (gleaned from her international as well as domestic travels) to her brother every now and then! Unfortunately in this case she was 'without camera'!
I saw some nice new black landrovers today - the one labelled Land Rover looked quite large with an aggressive front, while the Range Rover looked much more like a normal car. There was a little conference at BB - maybe not quite a conference - I believe there are several vehicles driving around somewhere tomorrow, new ones. Don't know whether they are being trialled or about to be released.
Being non mechanically biased as well as being a retired school teacher, her description above is open to a variety of interpretations, but the fact remains that there is some movement of current (if not later) vehicles of the marque taking place in the Gold Coast hinterland as we speak, as she is reporting from Binna Burra (B.B.), a popular gathering place for bush walkers, nature lovers as well as a variety of Corporate bodies holding clandestine meetings out of the eyes of the prying general public.
Has anyone heard any whispers re Land Rovers intentions recently that may be tied up with this meeting?
BB is not really the sort of place one would choose for a test drive situatiion, narrow winding public roads in a National Park.
Regards
Glen
