NIKON BATTERY!!!!

I decided to buy a second battery for a back-up as I am off to the US next week. Went to a well known Brisbane camera store and was quoted $104 for a genuine battery, and $69 for a generic.

After I got my breath back I went home and got on the web. Genuine battery $69 at bestbuy, and generic $29 at Walmart.

I might wait until next week to buy.

Carefull of the generics... when I bought mine I had to make sure it wasnt a Nikon Battery looking case with 2 AA inside!!!!

dwi prices seem good - I think around $55 for a 2nd battery for our camera...

Reliable seller on ebay :D

I bought spare batteries for my previous Pentax for $16 including a 12v charger, they are still going strong 2 1/2 years later.

If a cheap battery blow up inside the camera kiss good bay to the body.

Gee, aren't their Nikon body prices good. I have found a cheaper retailer for a battery in LA, not far from my hotel so I will go there.
